Wallet Features

This wallet has a simple shape with no fussy details, ideal for featuring an embroidery, a fussy cut panel, or even a very small orphan quilt block!
Inside the wallet features a combined slip/zip pocket combo which is attached along the bottom edge to prevent items being transferred from one side of the wallet to the other. It features 12 card slots and wings that enclose the sides of the zip pocket, so there's no pesky peeking edges.

How big is the finished wallet?

The Wonder Wallet has finished dimensions of

7¼" x 4¾" x ¾" (18.4cm x 12cm x 2cm)

What materials do I need?

  • 9 ½” x 8 ½” (24cm x 22cm) non directional main fabric  – This can be quilting cotton, thin canvas or soft vinyl

  • ¾yd (0.5m) of non directional fabric (shown in various to assist with construction) – This needs to be no thicker than quilting cotton

  • 1 x #3 zip with 6" (15.25cm) of teeth

  • 1 x FQ fusible medium weight interfacing (I used F220).

  • 7 ½” x 11 ½” (19cm x 29.25cm)  Decovil heavy

  • 1 x wallet bar closure 7 ½” (19cm) long


    You will also need the following:

    Double sided basting tape

    Zip foot & walking foot

    Wonder clips

    Pressing cloth

    Chalk marker/erasable pen

    Fabric glue 

    Fray check

    Small screwdriver

    Hand sewing needle & thread

    Hera marker or Bone Folder to score fabric
